What a Budget! We have the threat of financial collapse, running out of gas, and Putin launching hybrid, cyber and an all out attack. And what do we get? Cheaper gherkins and marmalade. Nice for Gen Z foodies and bears from Peru.

I omitted to mention gherkins go a treat with salt beef inside a rye sandwich.More seriously, it was crass for the Chancellor to put 2p on a pint of beer. He is fully aware pubs are struggling and going out of business.

I like gherkins chopped up in a potato salad - but the weather is getting a bit too cold for that now.Marmalade like jam tends to have too much sugar for me nowadays to be interested.  Peanut butter and marmite would be more important!

Marmite is good for B vitamins, a teaspoonful a day, and olive oil, a teaspoonful a day to keep active.
